Alldata vs. Mitchell1

Hi and Welcome to the Wiring4Cars BlogSpot. Here I will be touching on the differences (both good and bad) between 2 of the largest companies in Technical Automotive Information today - Alldata and Mitchell1 - Both companies have more than proven themselves in the workforce and are used by more than 100k+ Dealership and Automotive Repair Shops all across the world.

I have personally been using both software’s side-by-side everyday for the past 3 years. I am fluent in most all versions of both software’s - This includes both Online & Offline Versions. I started out using Alldata in one repair shop, then Mitchell1 in another. I joined the Automotive Categories on the JustAnswer website in March 2007 where to date I have over 2000 + site wide "Accepts". I have covered every Car, Truck, and Van in both software’s.

It doesn't matter how many certificates you have, or how much experience "under the hood" is on your resume, there is absolutely NO WAY possible (unless your superman of course) to know EVERYTHING about EVERY vehicle. That is where these two software’s come in. With the daily change of automotive technology, it literally takes software’s and sites like these for free standing shops to keep up.

Let's not forget about the "do-it-yourselfer"...both software’s are built on DIY Platforms, and come at a much lower cost than going to a store and purchasing the paperback books. Besides, paperbacks are always limited in information, and you can only have 1 copy. Using the Online Versions of either software your guaranteed instant updated information. Paperback books you cannot update. Another thing, both Mitchell1 and Alldata get all their information straight from the factory, whereas paperbacks do not.
